Dr. Nubaha Elahi is the Medical Director of the Maimonides Emergency Department. She graduated from Stony Brook School of Medicine and trained in Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center. She stayed on as a fellow in clinical simulation and then faculty to help create a state-of-the-art simulation center. Our clinical simulation center trains learners from many fields of medicine and allied health professionals. In her current role as Medical Director, she oversees the daily operations of an academic emergency department with 54 residents, 70 faculty members, 7 fellowships, and 120,000 visits annually. She wants to find data driven solutions to improve the care that is delivered and has been a champion of quality improvement projects within the department.
