Fellowship Community at MMC
Maimonides Medical Center is home to six fellowships in Emergency Medicine: Administration, EMS, Ultrasound, Medical Education, Simulation, and Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM). At any given time, we host 16–18 fellows across these programs.
Fellows participate in our Fellows College, a unique program that fosters junior faculty development, leadership skills, and scholarly growth while cultivating a strong sense of community among fellows.
In addition, faculty development sessions are offered quarterly to all faculty members, focusing on procedural skills, communication, and ongoing professional growth to help you stay up to date.
The Hospital & Residency Program
The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Maimonides was fully accredited in 2005. It is a 3-year program (PGY 1–3) with 18 residents per class (54 total). Graduates go on to fellowships, academic leadership, and community practice.
Maimonides serves Brooklyn’s 2.6 million residents, providing exposure to one of the most diverse patient populations in the U.S. Residents manage some of the sickest patients in New York and encounter a wide spectrum of pathology.
Fellows will work at multiple sites:
