Dr. Humaira Ali was the first official graduate of the Maimonides EMS fellowship in 2023. She is a board certified emergency medicine physician who specializes in both simulation education and emergency medical services. Dr. Ali graduated summa cum laude from an accelerated medical program at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a graduate of Maimonides Medical Center's emergency medicine residency program in Brooklyn, New York. Given her love of education and California, after residency she went on to complete a simulation fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. After her simulation fellowship, she found herself serving as the pre-hospital physician for many large scale events including major venues such as Burning Man, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and Madison Square Garden in New York City. This led to her passion in medical directorship and towards an EMS fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Ali helped establish the fellowship as its inaugural fellow. Outside of medicine, Dr. Ali enjoys cooking traditional Indian food with a modern twist, writing, and surfing.
